Where's Wendy?

This weekend I took a trip to Portland and walked along the Eastern Promenade. I was excited to finally try a donut from The Holy Donut as well. They make Maine potato donuts that are delicious. After my walk along the water I grabbed a slice of pizza at Otto's and was happy to get to try the mashed potato, scallion and bacon pizza. 

I planted tomatoes today and tried to make some sense of my garden. Mowed the lawn too. So much quicker to mow the lawn when grass isn't really tall. Mum gave me a patio set too! And she gave me a rhubarb plant and peonies! :D

Currently my focus has been on my vegetable garden. I cleared away a lot of the weeds.

I repositioned the pallets and put them next to each other. I added new garden soil and planted a few seedlings. I think I may need more pallets. This only takes up half of the space in the garden. I could probably fit four more pallets easily. I can't wait to pick up tomato plants!

My friend Chad had his 1000 unique beer check in tonight in Untappd and it's my friend Jess's birthday too. :)

For the first time ever I mowed my lawn. I think I did an alright job for the first time using a lawn mower. I was very happy with my purchase and it worked great. 

I purchased three blueberry bushes from the Home Depot and planted them today. Debating about getting three more to form a line. The vegetable garden is a work in progress currently. 

Why yes...I had to get a green lawn mower. 

Yesterday I worked on my garden. I found a rock I think resembles PacMan. And there were slugs, which concerns me and hoping they won't be a problem in the vegetable garden.

I got a haircut today.

Mother's Day

I got to spend Mother's Day with my family. It was nice to spend time with my mother and grandmother, both of whom I love dearly and hope to be as good of a mother as they have been.

Today I finally installed a towel holder by the bathroom sink. I'm liking my bathroom more with each new detail. Now if only I can find a shower curtain that I like.
